Years of cuts and relocation of the Australian Public Service has left many of Woden Town Centre's privately owned buildings empty.

With more cuts and relocations to come, it’s clear that Woden cannot rely on the public service for its future.

That’s why the Woden Town Centre Master Plan is so important - because it will guide redevelopment and urban renewal in Woden with mixed use development; more people living and working in central areas of the Town Centre, close to quality public transport and services. This will help to enliven and improve Woden’s public spaces week round.

This campaign supports urban renewal in Woden – by delivering the Woden Town Centre Master Plan.

Please join the campaign – let’s build Woden’s future.

We the undersigned support urban renewal in the Woden Town Centre and call on the ACT Government to deliver the Woden Town Centre Master Plan.

As a long time resident of Woden I know that the Town Centre is in need of urban renewal.

Woden has been hurt by Federal Liberal Government decisions, including the recent announcement in the Budget of up to 244 jobs to go at the Commonwealth Department of Health.

The cuts and relocation of public servants are symbolised by the derelict Alexander and Albermarle buildings as well as the now virtually-empty Lovett (former MLC) Tower.

That's why its so important to support urban renewal in the Town Centre - supported by the the Woden Town Centre Master Plan.

Another catalyst for renewal will be the Government's investment in light rail stage 2 to Woden. Light rail is already bringing renewal to Northbourne Avenue and it will do the same to Woden.

The Master Plan will guide future development and urban renewal in the Town Centre - but we need your support to deliver it, so please sign the petition to show your support.

Please also let me know what you think Woden needs - by completing this short survey.
